2019 Kansas Student Journalist of the Year

On Feb. 15, 2019, the Kansas Scholastic Press Association (KSPA) named me the Kansas Student Journalist of the Year. I was selected among the winners of two different enrollment classifications. A panel of judges — composed of high school publications advisers, university instructors and professional journalists — chose my work from a collection of nine portfolios submitted from KSPA member schools. Click here to view KSPA's press release on this honor, and why I was selected from a pool of so many qualified candidates.
